Accessible information standard

The Accessible Information Standard, also known as AIS, is an NHS England information standard which all organisations that provide NHS or adult social care are required to implement.

The AIS aims to ensure that people who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss receive information that they can access and understand, such as in large print or via email or professional communication support if required , or from a British Sign Language interpreter.
