Flu

We have planned two Saturday Flu Clinics as follows:

  • 10th October 2020: over 65’s only (fully booked)
  • 24th October 2020: designated at risk patients and late afternoon eligible children

Please note that at this clinics are on an appointment basis (no “walk in” patients) and face coverings must be worn and you are requested to maintain social distancing guidelines. If you are unable to wear a face covering then you will not be able to attend one of these two clinics. Entrance will be via the front door of the surgery. We expect the car park to be extremely busy for these clinics.

The demand for the vaccines is significantly higher than normal this year, and we are unable to order any additional vaccines at this stage.

We will be scheduling some weekday clinics late October/November 2020 which will be for those patients that are on our over 65 year of age waiting list. The waiting list is now closed until NHS confirm whether they will be able to supply us with additional stocks of vaccines.

Important notice from NHSE/I regarding Flu vaccination for 50-64s

Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
