Appointments
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and in line with new ways of working, we have had to change the way we deliver services in order to keep our patients and staff safe, provide a service to more patients than pre pandemic and to minimise the risk of the practice having to be closed entirely for a deep clean or due to lack of staffing.
There are currently no pre-bookable appointments with a member of the clinical team (Doctors and Paramedic Practitioner). Should you feel that you require a consultation please complete the form on the website and provide as much information including any pictures. Should a patient not be able to complete a website form then they may call the reception team who will complete the form on their behalf.
The forms are normally available 06h00 to 12h30 on normal working days, however we may occasionally have to close them off earlier should the demand exceed our available capacity. The requests submitted are triaged by a clinician, however some requests may need to wait several days before being dealt with if considered routine.
If the clinician feels that you need to be examined then they will book you into an appointment with the doctor assigned to this clinic session alternatively your matter may be dealt with via a telephone or video consultation, or some remotely.
Please note that it is not possible to insist on a particular clinician to contact or examine you.
The nursing team are providing essential services such as phlebotomy, dressings, INR monitoring, chronic disease reviews (for example asthma, diabetes although some of these reviews are also being performed on the telephone or by video where appropriate) as well as cervical smears.
Should you require any services you are encouraged to initiate this request by using the appropriate form on this website.
Home Visits
Should you require a home visit you must call before 10:00 otherwise it may not be possible to accommodate this. All requests for home visits will be triaged to determine that they are clinically essential.
Extended Hours
We provide extended hours telephone consultations with a doctor and a combination of telephone and face-to-face consultations with the nursing team.
Improved Access Appointments
The Improvement Access Appointments are delivered by PROCARE on behalf of the Guildford & Waverley GP practices to provide additional capacity and flexibility. The service offers some telephone and face to face appointments including some nursing services.
Appointments are available on a daily basis. Most of our GP appointments are telephone appointments, with some face to face where an issue needs physical examination. You can book every weekday, up until 8pm, on Saturdays between 8am and 5pm and on Sunday between 8am and 4pm. Nurse appointments are bookable most days at various practices in the area. You must be registered with a practice in Guildford and Waverley to use this service.
Your fastest option is to click the link below. This will allow you to book with GPs and Nurses via our partner Hero Doctors. You will need to create an account, a very quick process, and then you will be able to search and book our available appointments. For a telephone appointment with a GP, please choose ‘Telephone appointment’ in the list of locations you can see. You can also still book by calling your usual practice and asking to be seen in Improved Access. Appointments are released at different times so do keep checking if no availability is showing straightaway.
