Dr Charlotte Hatrick

MA,MBBS,MRCGP,DRCOG

"Amazingly, I have worked at Wonersh on a part- time basis since 1996!. It still gives me enormous pleasure to be working in the same practice as my late father-in-law, so that the Hatrick name lives on. I trained at Worcester College, Oxford for my pre-clinical years and then at St Thomas's Hospital, London before heading straight out into general practice training in Southampton. I've worked in Family planning in the past but now find myself very much a generalist, placing huge importance on a holistic approach and the value of listening. This does unfortunately tend to make me run late towards then end of surgery, for which I apologise.

I have 3 children all at different schools locally, so much of my time away from the surgery is spent ferrying kids, watching matches, walking the dog or feeding the pony as well as supporting my husband who is a consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital."

I have a special interest in Minor Surgery and IT. I also look after patients in a local nursing home.

General Practitioner Training Scheme

This is a teaching practice and we have GP Registrars attached to the practice for the General Practice part of their training. These doctors hold surgeries, make home visits, help at clinics and take part in the emergency rota. One of the partners supervises the registrars at all times and is available for advice, if necessary. In addition, we occasionally teach medical and nursing students. As part of their training they find it very valuable to sit in on clinics or to perform consultations that would then be checked by a GP. You may, of course, decline to have students sit in on your consultation.
